Welcome to Transmission Static, a professional-grade sound engine developed by Neon Sky. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our mobile application.

Transmission Static is designed as a standalone, privacy-centric utility. Our core philosophy is that your data should remain on your device. This app does not require a user account, does not track your location, and does not collect personally identifiable information (PII).

2. Information Collection and Use

To provide a seamless experience, the app processes the following data types:

• User Preferences (Local Only): We store your custom settings, including your selected Noise Spectrum (White, Pink, Brown, Blue, Violet), output volume, sample rate (pitch), and UI theme color.

• Storage Method: These settings are stored locally on your device using Android’s secure SharedPreferences system. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Technical Logs (Anonymous):

• If the app crashes, anonymous technical data (e.g., device model and OS version) may be provided to us via the Google Play Console to help us fix bugs and improve stability.

3. Permissions

Transmission Static is built to be "permission-light."

• Audio Generation: The app uses the system's AudioTrack API to generate static noise programmatically. It does not require access to your Microphone, Camera, or Contacts.

• Internet Access: While the app contains a link to our official Facebook page, the app itself does not require an active internet connection for its core sound engine functionality.

4. Data Backup

• If you have Google Backup enabled on your Android device, your app preferences (volume, pitch, etc.) may be backed up to your personal Google Drive in an encrypted format. This allows you to restore your settings if you reinstall the app or move to a new device.

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted infrastructure providers for app distribution:

• Google Play Services: Used for app installation, security verification, and license management.

• Social Media: The app contains a link to the Neon Sky Facebook page. Interacting with that page is subject to Facebook’s own privacy policy.

6. Children’s Privacy:

• Transmission Static is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app does not collect any personal data, it is safe for all age groups.

7. Data Retention & Deletion:

• Since all data is stored locally, simply uninstalling Transmission Static will delete all saved preferences and settings from your device.
